Initial Report on Hacienda Luisita
Initial Report of the Hacienda Luisita National Fact-Finding Mission held September 16-17, 2013 led by Anakpawis Partylist, UMA and the local farmworkers alliance AMBALA.
On September 17, eleven (11) delegates of the mission, including Anakpawis Congressman Fernando Hicap, were manhandled and arbitrarily arrested by the Tarlac City Police.
The report confirms the anomalous land survey and land distribution scheme conducted by the Department of Agrarian Reform, militarization and harassment of farmworker-beneficiaries and renewed landgrabbing by President Benigno Aquino III family, the Cojuangco-Aquino clan of Tarlac.
